Today is Wednesday, January 31, 2007. The day before I am scheduled to leave for the start of my Semester at Sea. 600 students and I have the opportunity to travel around the world in 100 days on a cruise ship and stop in some of the most amazing places. I can't believe this day has actually come considering my friends in Aussie have been there a month already. I feel like I've been home forever! Anyway, today is a day for packing, doing last minute errands, etc. It's very stressful and I'm nervous about getting it all done! I'm sure it will be fine. So here is my itinerary: Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Brazil, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Japan. We spend from 2 - 7 days in each of these countries and while we are traveling we take classes. I am going to be taking an African American Lit class, Cinema and National Identity, an "all student" class called Global Studies, and World Art on a Western Canon (whatever THAT is!). I don't have much to say just yet but once I get settled onto the boat I'm sure there will be more then enough to fill this space.
